The room at Eco Garten Guest House was right in the center of Shkoder, which made it super convenient for exploring the city. I loved that my room had a private bathroom with a bath. It felt so luxurious to have my own space to relax after a day of sightseeing. The 24-hour front desk was a great feature. It gave me peace of mind knowing that help was available any time I needed it. The free toiletries in the shared bathroom were a nice touch. I didn't have to worry about packing my own and could use them as much as I needed. Having a seating area in some of the units was so convenient. I could unwind and read a book, or just sit and enjoy a cup of tea. The triple room with a microwave, tea/coffee maker, and dining area was perfect for someone like me who likes to have a quick meal or snack in the room. Having a microwave in the triple room was such a bonus. I could heat up leftovers or make a cup of tea whenever I wanted. The room with a sofa was great for relaxation. I could lounge comfortably and watch TV or just take a nap. It was fantastic to have a coffee machine in the room. I could start my day with a fresh cup of coffee without needing to go out.
Personally, I found the shared bathroom to be a bit inconvenient. However, I understand that others may not mind it.

Clean - comfy rooms and bathrooms. Super friendly and helpful hosts. Beautiful garden to relax in. Great location - just minutes away from the city center. Learned about local activities and places to visit. Loved the option to rent bikes and explore the castle and beach. Appreciated being able to leave luggage safely while trekking in the Alps.
Couldn't recommend more.

Stayed at a place where all the cool people in Albanian history hung out. Free WiFi and parking, plus a barbecue and garden views. I felt like a VIP!
The only downside: no red carpet roll-out upon arrival. How am I supposed to feel like a celebrity without the royal treatment?

I keep coming back here because it's perfect for me. They have everything I need like Wi-Fi, parking, and a helpful staff. Last time, they even returned my forgotten headphones. Can't wait to come back for my next trip.

The hotel breakfast menu could have been more varied.

We loved the warm and friendly atmosphere at this guest house. The owner, Fred, and his family were incredibly helpful and gave us great advice on exploring Albania. They even helped us book transportation to Lake Koman. The location was perfect for us as it was in the center of Shkoder, making it easy to visit attractions like the Marubi photo gallery and the Memorial Museum. The rooms and bed linen were clean, and the coffee they served in the morning was excellent. We also enjoyed a lovely evening with Fred and his family, where they treated us to tea and homemade raki. The guest house is surrounded by a beautiful vegetable garden, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. we felt like part of the family and will definitely return.
Felt truly spoilt, no complaints.
